ALL AMERICAN PRESSURE STERILIZERS
The All-American Pressure Sterilizers differ from the Pressure Cookers in several ways that make them better tools for the mushroom cultivator. A stopcock prevents steam from escaping once sterilization temperatures have been achieved (the Pressure Cooker utilizes a weighted vent pipe instead); this means that they require less monitoring than the Pressure Cooker. These units also feature a capillary tube and a removable solid insert basket.

High Power Gas Burner
This is an excellent, highly durable burner for use with our Pressure Cookers, Pressure Sterilizers and for use in pasteurizing straw in 55 gallon drums for Oyster cultivation as described in the books Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms and The Mushroom Cultivator. Quick-Opening Autoclaves (Retorts)
Our line of autoclaves cost far below those of most manufacturers. They are constructed of 1/4 inch carbon steel, complete with safety blowouts, quick-opening "spider" doors, and push-in carts. Horizontally and vertically configured autoclaves are available with the option of one or two doors. Recommended operating steam pressure is 15-30 psi. From 4 feet to 30 feet long, from 4.5 feet to 5 feet in diameter, these customized autoclaves make spawn, substrate and/or canning commercially feasible. Preferred by North American mushroom cultivators, each autoclave we sell is custom manufactured to meet the specific needs of our customers. Available for shipment worldwide.

Steam Generators
We access a broad line of steam boilers and can custom quote any capacity and configuration you need. Temperature Chart Recorder
This temperature recorder is used by the professional cultivator to log temperatures in retorts or Phase II sterilization chambers for enhanced control over the sterilization of media. Two selector switches located on the face panel allow for the recording of 3 different temperature ranges at 4 different recording speeds; 6 hours, 24 hours, 7 days and 31 days, and can be set for single or continuous rotation. The unit is accurate to ± 2° F (± 1° C), and microprocessor-controlled for excellent reliability. Includes a battery backup system (8 AA batteries, not included) for continued operation up to 48 hours during power outages. Comes with snap-on feet for free-standing operation (or can be wall-mounted using the keyhole-style mounts on the back of the unit), 2 chart pens and 60 6-inch diameter chart discs, and a 4 inch stainless steel temperature probe with 15 foot wire. (Note: the included probe is suitable for use in Phase II sterilization chambers, but not in high-pressure vessels such as retorts/autoclaves. A separate probe, the ESTCRP, will be required for taking readings in autoclaves.)

Pressure Gauge for Retorts
A heavy-duty 4 1/2" pressure gauge for use with a wide variety of pressure vessels, including our Quick-Opening Retorts. The PET case is highly impact- and chemical-resistant, with a high-temperature acrylic window. Easy-to-read dial is precision geared using stainless steel components. Reads from 30" HG vac to 30 psi, with an accuracy of ±0.5% of span. 1/2-14 ANPT brass connection.

Pressure Reduction Valve
This device allows for the reduction of pressure in steam lines running to autoclaves, retorts or Phase II atmospheric sterilization chambers. Pressure can be adjusted from 2–50 psi using the built-in adjusting screw. Accepts a maximum inlet pressure of 150 psi (200 psi for liquids). Fits 1 1/4" OD threaded pipe. Must be installed by a qualified boiler technician.
