MykoWeb
This site is a veritable clearing-house of useful information about mushrooms. Created and maintained by Michael Wood (Webmaster for both the North American Mycological Association and the Mycological Society of San Francisco), MykoWeb is probably best known for its massive mushroom database, The Fungi of California.
The Mushroom Art of Marie Heerkens
New York artist and mycophile Marie F. Heerkens has done some truly beautiful work in the field of Mushroom Art, from photography to watercolors to mushroom paper to amazing wood-burner etchings (called pyrography) on dried Artist Conk (Ganoderma applanatum) mushrooms. Her work is striking and totally unique. Be sure to investigate her site fully; there are lots of treasures to be unearthed!

A Tribute to Marina Sabina
Maria Sabina became one of the most well known woman healers of Mexico, using psilocybin mushrooms in religious and healing ceremonies. This page is a window into her life. Constructed by Chris King, a noted mycologist from New Zealand, this Web site also describes the works of R. Gordon Wasson, noted author and pioneering ethnomycologist. An excellent resource for those who have an interest in this subject.

Mycotaxon, the Journal of Fungal Systematics
Mycotaxon, as the name implies, is a journal dedicated to the taxonomy of fungi. November/December 1998's issue includes an article on Psilocybe weilii, a bluing Psilocybe identified by Paul Stamets and included in his book Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World.

Eric Danell of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences has assembled a base of information concerning the Golden Truffle (Chantarellus cibarius), including his own extensive work on the subject. The SETI@Home Program
This is without doubt one of the most interesting things you can do with your computer's idle time. SETI, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, has created a program that allows home computers (both PC and Mac) to link up to SETI's computer system, download a packet of information obtained from outer space by SETI's radio telescopes, and analyze it for intelligent content. After analysis, your computer uploads the results and requests a new packet of information. All this takes place during periods of no activity, and in fact some versions of the software run as a screen-saver. Hundreds of thousands of people have already downloaded SETI@Home, allowing the organization to take advantage of millions of otherwise unused computer cycles worldwide. Definitely worth visiting!
